Welcome to Emmaus Crossroads! Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment where high school students can build friendships, have fun, and make lasting memories. To help ensure everyone has a positive experience, we ask all participants to follow these guidelines.

We ask everyone to:

  • Treat others with kindness, courtesy, and respect.

  • Include others and help create a welcoming environment.

  • Respect the facility, equipment, and personal property.

  • Follow the directions of adult leaders and volunteers.

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threats, fighting, or intentional damage to property will not be tolerated.

Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco

& Vaping

Emmaus Crossroads is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment.

The possession, use, distribution, or being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, marijuana, tobacco products, vaping devices, or any other intoxicating substances is prohibited on Emmaus Crossroads property and at all Emmaus Crossroads events.

Because these substances are inconsistent with the environment we seek to provide, their use or promotion is not encouraged or permitted during our events.

Language & Conduct

We strive to create a positive atmosphere for everyone.

Please refrain from:

  • Profanity or vulgar language.

  • Bullying or harassment.

  • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior.

  • Any actions that create an unsafe environment for others.

Adult Supervision

Responsible adult leaders will be present at every Emmaus Crossroads event.

Participants are expected to follow the reasonable directions of adult leaders. Their role is to help maintain a safe, enjoyable environment and assist participants whenever needed.

Leaving an Event

Participants are welcome to leave an event whenever they choose unless otherwise communicated for a specific activity.

For events that continue past 1:00 AM, any high school student who wishes to leave before the event ends must first contact a parent or legal guardian. Adult leaders may also contact a parent or guardian if there are concerns about a participant's safety or transportation.

Please ensure transportation is arranged before the event whenever possible.

Medical & Emergency Policy

The safety of our participants is a top priority.

If a participant:

  • Becomes ill or injured,

  • Requires medical attention,

  • Appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs,

  • Or is involved in any situation that may affect their safety or the safety of others,

Emmaus Crossroads staff or volunteers will contact the participant's parent or legal guardian as soon as reasonably possible.

If the situation requires immediate medical care or presents an emergency, emergency medical services (911) may be contacted before a parent or guardian can be reached.

Consequences

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in one or more of the following:

  • A verbal reminder or warning.

  • Temporary removal from an activity.

  • Parent or guardian notification.

  • Removal from the event.

  • Suspension from future Emmaus Crossroads events, depending on the severity or repeated nature of the behavior.

Emmaus Crossroads reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior threatens the safety, well-being, or enjoyment of others.
